With a background in documentary photography, I started photographing landscapes as a way to engage with the natural environment. Over time — and through the use of a drone — this became a way to investigate how the Scottish landscape has been shaped by human hands.
“Man is everywhere a disturbing agent. Wherever he plants his foot, the harmonies of nature are turned to discord.”
— George Perkins Marsh, Man and Nature, 1864
